Frequently asked questions.
Where does the data come from?
The public federal contract-opportunity feed, loaded in full every night and polled for changes through the day. samscope is not affiliated with any government agency.
Do I need an API key?
No. samscope runs on its own. Adding your own key for the public feed raises the daily budget for description fetches and amendment checks on your account.
What makes a notice a good fit?
Your targeting profile: NAICS codes, set-asides, the requirement tag packs you turn on and any custom keywords. Every notice shows its breakdown, and re-scoring after a profile change is one click.
Are awards and justifications included?
Yes, at reduced weight. They stay searchable for market research but sort below anything you can still bid on.
Who sees what?
Accounts are per person. The targeting profile, saved searches, projects and alert channels are shared by the team; bookmarks are yours.
How does sign-in work?
Local accounts with a password policy and optional or required multifactor authentication. Enterprise adds OpenID Connect single sign-on and the audit log.
